President Trump signed an executive order that may impact employer healthcare plans. The order directs the Departments of Health and Human Services, Labor and the Treasury to review regulations issued under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The October 12, 2017 Order directs the departments to explore ways to:
The order also includes a request that Federal agencies revise existing ACA regulations to allow individual and small-group market plans, even ones that don’t adhere to ACA’s health coverage requirements.
